Properties of TA6V4 and CuAgZr Coatings Produced by Cold Spray

C. Verdy, C. Coddet, C. Coddet, University of Technology Belfort-Montbeliard, Belfort Cedex, France

This paper presents the properties of two alloys obtained by the Cold Spray process using a recycling helium system. The spray parameters of CuAgZr and TA6V alloys were optimized to obtain dense coatings. Tensile specimens are NOL-Rings tubes with thicknesses of 3 mm. The microstructural properties are investigated by OM, SEM, and microhardness analysis. The effect of different thermal treatments on the mechanical properties of these alloys is presented.
