Diagnosis on the Performance of Coating Achieved by Convergent Divergent Nozzle with Gaseous Fuel HVOF System

A. Modi, S. C. Modi, Metallizing Equipment Co Pvt Ltd, Jodhpur, India

Gaseous Fuel HVOF systems are widely used today for most of the thermal spray applications because of their high dense and better bond strengths compared to the Liquid fuel. The Lack in the coating quality between Liquid fuel and gaseous fuel is avoided and brought to negligible state by modifying the nozzle of gaseous fuel gun with Convergent Divergent Nozzle. The coating has been tested by using online particle diagnosis system and coating properties are evaluated with respect to the results of liquid fuel system.
