Hard Chrome Replacement for Hydraulic Actuators

The U.S. Navy has investigated numerous coatings material changes to remove Hexavalent Chromium for U.S. Navy Aircraft. This presentation will discuss various methods of Hard Chrome Replacement that were investigated, processes by which they are applied and overall effectiveness in relation to corrosion, wear, fatigue and rework capability. Will also discuss how to determine what Actuators are applicable.
