Summary: The generalized production sequence of 718Plus™ rings is outlined: melting and the resultant chemistry, billet production, ring production and final heat treatment. Basic macro- and micro-scopic examinations of material from the rings confirm the overall uniformity of the completed product. Summary tensile, fatigue, and creep test results from the rings are offered to show the achievement of a useful and appropriate balance of properties. Comparisons are offered to provide further insight.
