Overview:
The use of hazardous materials during manufacturing & maintenance of military and commercial aircraft is significant. Meanwhile, regulations to control the pollution are becoming stricter. It is viewed that the environmental concerns facing aerospace industry may be one of the most challenging tasks. Aerospace industries are now experiencing challenges to operations, maintenance and repair because of the increasing cost and restrictions due to the use of hazardous materials (HAZMATs) and generation of hazardous waste (HAZWASTE). This session will address new materials and innovative processing technologies that are essential for minimizing the environmental impact.
