Computer Simulation of Induction Heating of Metals

V. Rudnev, Inductoheat Inc., Madison Heights, MI

Presentation provides an objective assessment of different commercially available computer simulation software and proprietary subject-oriented simulation codes to model wide range of induction heating and heat treating systems. This includes induction hardening of steel parts, cast irons and induction heating of light alloys. Several case studies of induction processes optimized after using numerical computer simulations will be provided here as well.
