G. Bray, R. J. Rioja, Alcoa, Inc., Alcoa Center, PA; D. Denzer, Alcoa Inc, Alcoa Technical Center, PA; L. M. Karabin, Alcoa, Alcoa Center, PA; J. Witters, Alcoa Inc, Battendorf, IA

A summary from the development of 3 new plate products are here covered. Alloys 7255 for upper wings, 2199 for lower wings and 2099 for internal structure have been scaled up and characterized to the generation of “S” allowables. Results from second tier testing of these products is covered and the impact of these properties on performance of aerostructures is highlighted. Finally, the remaining steps and time line for commercialization is discussed.
