An Update On Kaiser Select® Products

In light of the emphasis on lower costs and rate readiness within the aerospace industry, Kaiser has continued to develop KaiserSelect products to meet these specific requirements.

Our customers have chosen Kaiser select products to meet these market demands.  Kaiser select products have been engineered per our customer wishes to create enhanced characteristics that reduce the aluminum distortion during and after machining of complex aircraft components.

These enhanced characteristics improve the manufacturing efficiency which lowers rework rates, leading to lower overall manufacturing costs.  The increased Right first time provides confirmation of rate readiness and improvement of the supply chain reliability for aerospace manufacturer OEMs, Tier1 and machined part suppliers.

Many new KaiserSelect^® products have been recently introduced to the market in different forms such as plate, rod, bar, and extrusions.  The traditional performance of 7x75 alloys has been elevated through the development of the newest KaiserSelect^® highly engineered aerospace plates. Examples are presented to illustrate the successful application and benefits of using these materials.
