Studies and Investigation on the Structural and Mechanical Properties of Pseudo Alloys Coatings Obtained By Thermal Spraying

The aim of the paper is to present a characterization method for the coating layers obtain from pseudo-alloys by thermal spraying process. The experiments were been made by electric arc spraying process, in which two different wires where used. From macro and micro-structural examination which were made by optical and respectively electrical microscopy, results specific structures for CuAl-AlSi and FeC-NiFe pseudo-alloys. Those pseudo-alloys have hardness no more than 320 HV1. Based on the experimental results, it can be considered that coating layers can be applied on an industrial scale especially in auto, aircraft, and spacecraft industry. The properties of this pseudo-alloys must assure height wear and hardness resistance.
