Monday, June 16, 2014: 4:10 PM
Florida Hall A (Gaylord Palms Resort )
Mr. Jack J. Fox , NASA, John F. Kennedy Space Center, Kennedy Space Center, FL
The NASA Commercial Crew Program is working with private industry to help create and develop rockets and spaceships capable of taking non-NASA trained astronauts into Earth orbit.  Once these private companies demonstrate this capability, NASA may employ the company (or companies) to transport NASA astronauts to the International Space Station.  This Program is key to the future where average folks will someday travel to space as routinely as they get on a jet plane today.
