Mr. Kevin Jablonski , Lane Powell PC, Seattle, WA
Intellectual property is the asset that results from creations of the mind. The purpose of intellectual property law is to protect the rights of the creators in the asset, allowing them to reap the economic benefits, while encouraging disclosure of the innovation for the public benefit.

The presentation addresses measures to protect intellectual property including patent, trade secret and copyright. The presenters examine the life cycle of a technology from womb to tomb, and how these protection measures may be applied across that cycle, individually or in combination with each other.

Presenters address factors to consider in determining the best means to protect your innovation, including the technology strategy and state of development. Additionally they consider how recent changes in intellectual property law might shape your intellectual property protection strategy.
