On July 15, 2016, the Boeing Company will celebrate its centennial.  Over the last 100 years the Boeing Company has changed the world and the lives of everyone on it, from connecting people with air travel to protecting freedom with airpower.

The road from the humble beginning in a shipyard on Seattle’s Duwamish River to today’s world leading aerospace company included a number of pivotal moments: William Boeing building America’s airways, the birth of airpower and building the arsenal of democracy, the pioneering of swept wing jets, ushering in the jet age, going to the moon and beyond.  These momentous accomplishment reflect the character of the Boeing Company and are the foundation for 100 years of success.
