HOW SMALLER FORM FACTOR COLLABORATIVE ROBOTS IMPACT MANUFACTURING EFFICIENCY IN SYSTEM DESIGN AND IMPLIMENTATION
A review of the introduction of collaborative robots into the manufacturing arena focusing on the impact on system design and efficiency is effected by the trend toward a more compact design version of collaborative robots. Discussion will focus on the confluence of more traditional industrial processes with guardless collaborative robots. Investigation and disclosure on offerings from robot OEMs like ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman , Kawasaki and Universal robots.
Important focus on form factor-compact designs and their contribution to processes previously not able to be automated.
