Induction Heat Treatment: Conventional Applications & Recently-Developed Technologies

Because electromagnetic induction provides a highly reliable and cost-effective heat source for heat treating metals (specifically ferrous alloys), the applications of induction heat treatment are vast.  This presentation will provide an overview of many of these applications (e.g. hardening and tempering of gears, shafts, bearings, etc.) using a variety of real-world examples.  A number of recently-developed induction heat treatment technologies, and the associated industry advancements that they have provided, will also be presented.
