Recent advances in process control have elevated Titanium MIM to a realistic process for producing economical, high performance materials via metal injection molding. A robust manufacturing process for Ti-6Al-4V has been qualified. Process capability and mechanical performance will be discussed. Microstructure and mechanical properties of other high performance alloys such as Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al and Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo will also be presented.
