High Temperature Applications of Water based Glass Coatings for Forging of Aerospace Superalloys

Forging, extrusion and rolling processes continue to evolve with next generation aerospace superalloys. As alloys become more difficult to forge, forgers will rely on new technology to manufacture these alloy systems. Prince’s coating and lubricant technology is also evolving to keep up with the new processing demands. We will be discussing these advances in high temperature lubricants and high temperature applications to improve yield and reduce scrap of these alloys.
