Arconic Davenport Works, a vertically integrated facility located on the banks of the Mississippi river, houses the world's widest rolling mill and biggest thick plate stretcher to produce standard and unique aluminum products. Combined assets can produce a range of large, wide and / or thick aluminum sheet, plate and extrusion products and alloys including Aluminum-Lithium, 2xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx. These products have enabled space designers to conceive the impossible, such as lightweight pressurized core structures, dating back to the 1990's. This legacy continues on today with the utilization of Arconic advanced 7xxx plate alloys for structural applications and very wide plate for monolithic, single piece fuel domes, and large diameter tubes.
