Hot forming of high strength Aluminum alloy

High precision forming process of aerostructural high strength aluminum alloy are highly required along with the spread of the automatic and robotic assembly. Conventional high strength aluminum alloys are formed by stretch forming, brake forming or press forming in room temperature because hot forming is not affordable for aluminum alloy with solution treatment. Advanced high strength 7000 series aluminum alloy which shows equivalent mechanical property as 7075-T73 in T5 condition was applied for hot forming trial. The result of forming test and mechanical test will be shown in This presentation.
