Putting materials and process research to work - transitioning from the R&D lab to application

The speed of innovation is increasing at an increasing rate with the application of ICME and data science methods. EWI is using these tools and others in a wide variety of applications and materials to bring lab-scale breakthroughs to the aerospace industry. Application solutions for polymers, composites and metals have been developed and delivered out of the lab and into action. A review of past successes along with current internal and Additive Manufacturing Consortia research will be presented.
