Arconic’s portfolio of current Al-Li alloys has expanded the applications for Al-Li products in aerospace by improving weight savings, strength-toughness balance, fatigue crack growth resistance, minimized anisotropy and corrosion resistance. This presentation will share the progress of Al-Li alloys over generations including our current offerings in plate. A new silver-free Al-Li alloy will be discussed sharing static properties, toughness, fatigue crack growth and cryogenic properties of our plate product. This product is advantageous for any application that requires weight savings and corrosion improvement, including aeronautical and space applications.
