Session 11: Failure Analysis of Materials Ranging from CDs to Knuckle Joints
Location: Marco C (Orlando Airport Marriott)
(Please check final room assignments on-site).
Session Description: The new session will present papers from a wide range of materials including nanomaterials, super alloys, metals, chemicals, polymers and coatings. The symposium will focus on various aspects of failure analysis and testing including case histories, legal cases, microstructure, manufacturing problems, failure mechanism, and root-cause analysis. Problems-solving techniques such as AFM, SEM, EMP, LA ICP-MS, Ultrasonic Rayleigh SW etc. will be included. Papers from leading industries, academic institutions and laboratories will be presented.
