Summary: The paper presents the investigation results the different parameters of preheat treatment on structure and properties carburized tool steels. There were tested hot-work tool steels AMS 6437E and 4Ch5W2FS and cold-work tool steels ASTM A681, GOST Ch12M and Ch12MF applied for dies, stamps, forming rollers, extrusion tools and others tools used in industry. Influence the changes of carburizing parameters on structure and wear resistance were definite. For carburized the steels method of powder pack was choosen. Results of wear testing, carried out in conditions of sliding wear, are presented in the form of Lorenc¡¦s diagrams. Wear testing was carried out by the three-cylinder-cone method. Unit loading was 50 MPa and 200 MPa. The microstructures and microhardness of obtained layers are presented. The total depth of carburized layer was over 500 ƒİm. Examples of applied technology on industrial parts are presented too.
