Session 8: Flame Heating and Hardening
Location: D3-26/27 (COBO Center)
(Please check final room assignments on-site).
Session Description: Flame heating technology (direct oxy-fuel flame impingement) is used for annealing, hardening, preheating, post-heating, and many other applications. Gas flow controls assure a consistent and repeatable process. The flame heat treat technology is used on both low and high part volume applications. Precise case depth and pattern control is achieved with head design and process controls. These sessions discuss stationary, progressive, combination and spin heating. Fuel sources including natural gas, propane, propylene and acetylene are also reviewed as are bulk fuel systems.
