With recent innovations in laser technology and the application of it, laser heat treating is a leaner and cleaner technology than ever before.  In the past few years there has been a significant change from CO₂ laser technology to higher efficiency Diode, Fiber and Disk laser technologies.  Not only are these innovative laser technologies more efficient from an operating cost basis, but they are more flexible and lend themselves well to robotic integration.  Coupled with IR temperature sensing and feature tracking technologies laser heat treating solutions are smart systems that are ready for the ever changing product mix in today’s short and long run production environments.
