Those familiar with vacuum processing understand the benefits of tempering in a vacuum purged temper furnace. This technique assures part cleanliness, and in many instances, part brightness. To further increase the productivity of the traditional vacuum purged temper furnace, new designs offer an increase in the operating pressure to 2 bar, therefore significantly reducing both the heating time and also the cooling time.
