An effective software tool, CarbTool©, has been developed and verified at CHTE. In this paper the new enhancements to CarbTool© will be presented and discussed. These enhancements and capabilities include hardness profile and case microstructure prediction as well as carbon saturation and carbide precipitation simulations. The experimental verification of these carbon profile based predications will be presented and discussed.
