Keeping control of an induction heating process relies on repeatable equipment, in process monitoring, a well-developed coil design and a stable process.  The advantages of one piece flow from a thermal treating process such as induction has numerous benefits in the production arena. The normal protocol for production calls for periodic part checks for heat pattern and hardness.  There are times when the evaluated part does not follow the normal results found during inspections.  Common part deviations that occur, be it infrequently, require corrective actions. This presentation looks at the common part variations, identifies how to find the root cause and correct them.
