Repeated use of heat-treated oil causes oxidative deterioration, thermal degradation, consumption of additives, and performance changes.
In order to obtain a stable quenching quality, it is necessary to grasp the relation between the property change of the heat treatment oil such as the cooling property, the kinetic viscosity and the acid value and the quench hardness and the appearance change and to properly manage it.
In this presentation, we report on the effect of the property change of the heat treatment oil on the quenching quality due to deterioration based on the quench evaluation result of the round bar. In addition, we report the management method of heat treatment oil.
