Today, most brazing operations are fulfilled in single chamber batch furnaces. Unfortunately, for high-volume brazing operations, a furnace’s heating up and cooling down times can account for a significant portion of the cycle time and energy consumption. With keen interest to improve on the brazing process, ECM has adapted its modular and multi-cell low pressure carburizing (LPC) technology to re-evaluate and lessen these parameters to meet brazing requirements. This presentation will review the essential benefits linked to our findings in multi-cell technologies for brazing applications and the various tools that ECM utilizes for development purposes in their R&D Synergy Center.
