Session 1: Aircraft and Aerospace Applications
Location: Executive Salon 2 (Crowne Plaza Riverwalk San Antonio)
(Please check final room assignments on-site).
Session Description: This session reviews advances in stainless steel titanium brazing for use in aircraft engines. Presentations will provide updates on transient liquid phase bonding of superalloys and diffusion braze crack repair that will assist the engineer in developing techniques for engine service and repair. Presentations on brazing of titanium aluminides and titanium alloys will provide solutions for joining these difficult to join material. Emerging applications for electron beam brazing of titanium in space will explain some of the most recent advances in braze technology.
