Session 8: Modeling and Measurements
Location: Executive Salon 4 (Crowne Plaza Riverwalk San Antonio)
(Please check final room assignments on-site).
Session Description: The scientific bases for brazing and soldering is supported by the development of models, detailed analyses of braze joints and measurements of braze and soldering processes. This session is intended for the scientists and engineers that are involved in the interpretation of braze joints and braze processes. Presentations include thermodynamic modeling and experimental investigations, brazed joints used in aerospace industry, the observation of surface tension driven filler, and the kinetics of high temperature spreading and the investigation of liquid filler metal flow process through a braze gap.
