Session Keynote - Novel residual stress measurement applications (40 minute presentation)

VEQTER was incorporated more than 20 years ago as a spin-off from the University of Bristol providing Deep-Hole Drilling (DHD) residual stress measurement services to the Engineering Industry worldwide. Since then, VEQTER has diversified the techniques provided to become one of the world leaders in residual stress measurement services, offering the widest range of techniques available anywhere globally. To that end, VEQTER has carried out a wide variety of residual stress measurements for a wide variety of industries and within a wide variety of components, both at its headquarters in Bristol and on-site worldwide. Therefore, the presentation accompanying this abstract will review a small selection of novel applications using the DHD and other techniques to show what has been possible, the current state-of-the-art and the diverse requirements of the Engineering Industry.
