Not all rubbers are created equal. So how do you know which one to choose? Picking the wrong product can lead to devasting results. If you visually cannot see the difference, manufacturers must rely on the “fine print” to inform the end users which product has the appropriate properties for their application. The properties of the rubber are determined by the chemical composition. This talk will discuss the differences in the chemical composition of certain rubber products, how the composition influences properties, especially degradation, and analysis techniques.
