Since the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus began to affect the state of society on a global scale, attention has also focused on the antiviral properties of materials (products). This is because the possibility of infection via materials has been pointed out. Viruses initially need a host cell to multiply. Since multiplication cannot occur on the surface of inanimate materials, the question is how long the virus particles can persist as virus particles without losing activity. Evaluating this is a critical issue regarding the development of antiviral materials and the control of infection. In this study, we focused on several valuable metallic materials and attempted to evaluate their antiviral properties from various angles.
