Polymeric Agricultural Flooring Failure Analysis

A polymeric agricultural flooring system was installed throughout North America in farms and nurseries. Premature wear and surface erosion was observed until a piece of flooring fractured under a shock loading scenario. A thorough failure analysis of the polymeric flooring system was performed to assess the root cause of the fracture and contributing factors including processing conditions. Finally, an analysis of the remaining life expectancy of already installed flooring system will be discussed.
