When are people engaged in materials engineering? A Survey Finding.

To help ASM International and related communities design the best strategies and programs to promote members recruitment and engagement, it is crucial to understand when, how, and why do professionals become involved in materials engineering. Currently publicly available data is absent. In this work, we performed a comprehensive survey study from the MSE community collecting more than 60 responses from different age groups. The talk will review the survey result and discuss possible strategies to improve efficacy of educational outreach and membership engagement programs.
