Gas turbine Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) cases applications are subjected to harsh operating conditions, leading to wear and corrosion over time. Repairing these components efficiently while maintaining performance and integrity is critical for ensuring optimal turbine operation. High Pressure Cold Spray (HPCS) technology has emerged as a promising solution for LPC case repair, offering superior adhesion, minimal thermal degradation, and reduced material waste compared to traditional repair methods. This project work explores the development and application of HPCS aluminum coatings for gas turbine LPC case repair, highlighting their effectiveness in enhancing component lifespan and performance. Key aspects including repair process development, coating properties, and repair procedure optimization will be discussed, along with case studies demonstrating the successful implementation of HPCS in real-world repair scenarios.
