Renee Parente has been affiliated with AMD since 1995. She is the Technology and Product Engineering Operations Director in Austin, Texas where she plays a critical dual role as a business operations leader and as an organizational development leader. Renee also has twenty years of semiconductor process characterization and device analysis laboratory experience.

Renee is a strong believer in building a community through industry involvement and volunteering. Internally within AMD she is the vice-chair on the AMD Austin Community Affairs Council, and the global AMD Women's Forum lead. Additionally, she serves on AMD's North America Technology Showcase organizational committee. External to AMD she is the 2024 vice general chair for the International Symposium for Test and Failure Analysis and the vice president of both the Electronic Device Failure Analysis Society and its EDFAS Lonestar chapter.

Self-advocacy is a skill that helps people meet their needs through communication. Having a voice in conversations leads to more choices, increased motivation, engagement, and achievement. Help foster your connections by ensuring that you have a development plan that you share. Articulate what matters for you, what journey you are on, and why it is important so those around you learn what you want and need and thus can become your endorsers. Grow your network so it benefits you. People notice engagement when we move to the table and participate. Challenge yourself to speak up, ask exquisite questions, take the seat at the table, and volunteer. And when you volunteer, you are allowed to break out of your work persona to do something that you deem important with likeminded individuals. You can foster a sense of community, play to your strengths and self-advocate to promote yourself and grow your network.
