Following development testing of additively manufactured Co-Cr-Mo combustion liner segments, cracks were found after relatively low hours of testing. This study characterizes the fracture morphology, microstructure, heat treatment effects, and highlights how the etching behavior of the different material phases guided the determination of the root cause.
