Turbidity and colour are often used as quality indicators when conducting testing of potable water systems. Occasionally intensive water discoloration can occur in systems which although are not problematic from a health perspective, can lead to dissatisfaction with building tenants. This presentation will review failure analysis investigations of plumbing systems where water discoloration was flagged by tenants.
