Cold Spray, a solid-state materials deposition method, has gained increased acceptance for repair and enhancement of parts across several industries. There are scores of successful and approved applications across industries such as aerospace, ship building and repair, process industries, and the energy sector. These successes have inspired further developments, with Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing as one example. Applications for severe environments are another development arena, with corrosion and high temperatures frequently occurring together. This presentation will show how advanced path planning can be combined with advanced materials and process techniques to produce coatings and structures suitable for severe environments in a comparatively economical fashion.
