Over the years, one encounters odd or unusual cases. Fir this author, one of these involved the development of mold in a warehouse due to logistical changes in the construction schedule combined with insufficient planning and building operation. As a result, mld remediation was required. During the subsequent mold remediation, a disinfectant was poorly chosen, leading to extensive corrosion, including areas that had no mold. However, the corrosion development was sufficiently delayed, allowing more substantial build out of the facility before the issue was apparent. This resulted in challenges in evaluating the full impact, as well as both mitigating and fixing the corrosion issues. After a couple of years, the building was restored to an acceptable condition in terms of environmental control and building material condition - but not without effort or cost.
