Presence of Hydrogen in steel causes many problems. Depending on structure of steel, stress, environment, temperature, and pressure it may cause simple hydrogen embrittlement, blistering, hydrogen induced cracking,HIC, stress oriented hydrogen induced cracking, SOHIC, sulfide stress cracking, SSC, high temperature corrosion, and high temperature hydrogen attack, HTHA. This prsentation covers the types of problems and their relatiopnship with each other.
