Hydrogen embrittlement? Metallurgical evaluation of 9310 bevel gears

During manufacturing several lots were identified as being at risk for having inadvertently skipped a hydrogen baking operation. The team was requested to analyze 3 cracked parts and determine if they were embrittled. The presentation will cover the metallurgical examination, the features observed, and the data that was generated to disposition the parts.
