Navigating the Early Years: Growth, Challenges, and Breakthroughs

This talk is intended to discuss the early career in industry and what experiences I encountered both anticipated and what surprised me. I will do a deeper dive into my roles and how my degree did not match my job role, and how that impacted me. Additionally discussing the expectations from industry as opposed to what academia or the government might expect. Since my job is in industry, a big push for companies has been their environmental footprint, sometimes referred to as a 'Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)'- and how this effort has been rolled down to me as an engineer on the ground.
