Polyacetal connectors and installation stress

Polyacetal connectors and fittings are typically used on a variety of plumbing components including ballcock hose connectors. Over the years, there have been very few studies published on the installation-related stress applied to polyacetal ballcock connectors and other polyacetal fittings. Several installation errors will be presented and studied to discuss if and how they can be observed in the field over the course of a typical investigation of a water leak. Installation-related stress will also be discussed.
