A Review of the Metallurgy and Microstructure Characteristics of Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel Alloys

This presentation will provide a review of the metallurgical characteristics of precipitation hardening stainless steel alloys, including their ability to be strengthened by solution heat treatment and precipitation aging. In addition, it will provide examples of the various microstructures that can be created by specific combinations of temperature and time.
