Call for Abstracts
50th International Symposium for Testing and Failure Analysis (October 28- November 1, 2024)
Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday, May 3, 2024, 11:59 p.m., PDT
The abstract submission process will bring you through 5 Steps:

1. Session Selection
Choose the session you would like to present your paper. -
2. Enter Title
Enter your title, and any comments to organizers. -
3. Enter Authors
Enter author names, affiliations, and contact information. -
4. Enter Abstract Text
- Submit a two page minimum abstract to include images, figures and references.
- Abstract must not exceed 10 MB.
- Abstract must be in a Microsoft Word document or a PDF.
- Abstract must be uploaded into the system. Copy and paste will NOT be accepted.

5. Confirmation
You will have a chance to look over the submission to make sure all is complete.
General Instructions:
No names or titles should be included in the abstract text. Names will be automatically hidden during the abstract review process and will be automatically inserted and properly formatted upon publication.
Please note, authors are allowed to present a maximum of two papers (oral or poster).

Video Submission Steps and Instructions:
Are you the next Scorsese...of Failure Analysis?
We hope so! Submit your 3 minute (or less) video about an exciting result or a scintillating artifact -- anything goes, as long as it relates to Failure Analysis! Your FA Community will judge them and recognize winners at this year's ISTFA during the Social Event. Show off your filmmaking skills and FA prowess!
Who should submit?
Failure Analysts -- Anyone working in the Failure Analysis field.
Students -- Students currently studying in fields related to Failure Analysis (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, etc.).
The video submission process will bring you through five steps.

1. Enter Title
Enter your title and any comments to organizers. -
2. Enter Contributors
Enter contributor names, affiliations, and contact information. -
3. Sign Copyright Agreement
Entrants are responsible for obtaining any releases or any other permission or license necessary for the submission of their work for this contest and future publication. EDFAS and ASM International will have the right to exhibit, reproduce, and distribute in any or all of the entries. The entries will not be returned to the submitters. You will be asked to accept the Copyright and Permissions before you upload your video. -
4. Upload Video
WMV, QT, MPEG-4, or AVI format with a maximum size of 50 MB. The video should be 3 minutes or less. No audio, but subtitles are allowed. A short description should also be submitted along with all of your complete contact information. -
5. Confirmation
You will have a chance to look over the submission to make sure all is complete.
