Nowadays, composition of gradient coating fabricated by thermal spraying changes discontinuously. Although the layer interfaces become obscure, they are central section of thermal-stress. Using singlechip to control process of feeding powder, the continuously changing composition NiCrAl-ZrO2 gradient coatings have been fabricated by micro-plasma on 1Cr18Ni9Ti specimen. The curves of composition, adhesion strength, thermal-stress relaxing, thermal-fatigue, heat insulation, thermal-impacting and super high temperature mechanism intensity of coatings have been analyzed. The results indicate that the capabilities of the continuously changing composition coating are improved greatly.
