Research on Wear Properties of Ni-Based Coatings Sprayed by HVAF

C. Deng, Guangzhou Research Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, Guangzhou, China

In order to explore wear properties of Ni-based coating on the copper substrate, the coatings with different component and proportion were designed. Ni-based coating, Ni-based/Al2O3 and Ni-based/WC-12Co composition coatings were sprayed by HVAF on the copper substrate. Wear properties of different kinds of  coating were measured with different load at room temperature. The experimental results indicate that the coatings have high wear resistant. Different proportional  Al2O3 in coatings have little effect on wear property. The wear resistant is improved by adding to WC-12Co obviously. The best wear resistant is obtained when proper WC-12Co content is added.
